Issue 17: A Great Disturbance in the Force

Welcome to this special edition of the Procyon Herald. Procyon was shocked today to learn that the widely feared and much maligned Immortal clan had taken a hatchet to its roster on Procyon. Just days after reaching its high-water mark of 15 members, Server Leader Sacrilege unleashed her wrath on the unfortunates Flame and Blackhawk, stripping them of their tags. Sacrilege’s fury stemmed from the manner in which the two young Immortals had set about recruiting on Procyon, accusing them of overstepping their bounds and exceeding their authority. Sources have confirmed that Spartans Chad and Wyvern were approached by Blackhawk and offered membership in the Immortals clan on condition that they dissolve the Spartans. Chad quickly agreed to the offer, immediately announcing the disbandment of the Spartans. Wyvern, however, remained skeptical. In any case, Sacrilege was not amused at the way things played out.
“You are impulsive, arrogant, self-serving , loud-mouthed assholes that don't need to be tagged! You are NOT thinking of the clan.. you are thinking of your own glory. I refuse to lose any more good pilots b/c of you and yer buttbuddies.”
We attempted to contact Flame, but were unable to reach him. Nonetheless, he had this to say in his defense on the Immortal forum:
“We need new members, ppl to train in fighting aswell as leadership so they can be the future.” He went on: “we fuckin had random ppl pledgeing themselves to us "whether we liked it or not" .. THAT is what the immi's are about, being of a higher level, being Pure.”
Much of Sacrilege’s anger may have originated during the early days of the Immortal presence on Procyon, when Blackhawk first registered the clan in the server database. A sour taste was left in Sacrilege’s mouth when he appeared to belittle her role in the clan:
“she was NeVER leader.IMMORTAL-Death was always leader she just helped co-lead.”
Sacrilege’s subsequent accusations of arrogance and misbehavior were preceded by Tatsu (who may have secretly returned to Procyon – more on this later) when he wrote: “I actually like you imms its only blacky I have problems with. He HAS been caught dock camping. And when you talk about the Immaturity on Procyon I am forced to agree most players on Procyon run there mouths rather than there guns and this does include blacky. I'm surprised you try to defend him after he bashed you on the forum but I guess it is the name your trying to protect.”
While we did manage to reach Blackhawk, he declined to comment.
In any case, the Immortal tree has been pruned, and out of 15 members, 7 now remain. What this means for the future of the clan on Procyon is anyone’s guess.
“It’s my understanding that Sacrilege doesn’t want the Immortals here,” stated Vice Admiral Mank, “and it is my perception that the Immortal movement here was spearheaded by Flame, and Blackhawk, and was not approved by her. Although I believe the core of the clan is stable, I really doubt we will see a major movement of core Immortal members to Procyon.”
Org spokesperson Crescens was more optimistic. “Sacrilege seems to be one of the few Immortals that actually has her head screwed on the right way. I'm rather glad that she has decided to clean the clan up a bit rather than quit it outright in protest, which was what she had initially decided to do. Sometimes I wonder if we're the only clan here who exist without drama.”

Chad betrayed everyone, including his own clan. I trusted him, and be stabbed me in the back. Everyone told me not to trust him, but he wanted a chance. He the Immortals attacked, I offered help. Then he turns on me, and then everyone. | | | | |
